As I write this, ESPN is currently airing the GoDaddy.com Bowl between Arkansas State and Northern Illinois. Do you care? Exactly. We're a week into January and -- just as it was back in mid-December -- the only "bowl" that really matters is a National Title game. You know, that one between two teams in the same conference as decided by some holier-than-thou algorithmic process that engineers at Google probably don't even understand. There's so many stupid, meaningless college football bowl games with ridiculous corporate titles these days that it's impossible to care or keep track. The market is over-saturated, the BCS is corrupt, college football desperately needs a playoff system, blah blah blah. And with that public opinion in mind, last night SNL took a jab a ESPN's Bowl Madness with this spoof mocking the pseudo-bowl game hysteria. The Texas A&M Marching Band vs. Tuberculosis in the Fidelity Four Loko Life Begins at Conception Bowl at 4 A.M sure sounds like a doozy.
