Sure his suggestion seems like a joke, but then Pat kind of reiterates the idea even saying something to the tune of, "I don't think we condone wife beating these days but something got to be done to make her..." just before his female co-host cuts his insane ass off. His uncertainty, as to whether or not we condone wife beating, is kinda concerning.
