Yesterday we gave you a Nike commercial that showcased some of the NBA's greatest super stars playing against average Joes and girls, playing in places like a Jewish Under 40 league and in Beijing. Nike's next advertisement for Carmelo Anthony's new Jordan shoe one-upped that commercial and utilized helicopters and futuristic holograms.

New York Knicks star unveiled his new sneaker, the Jordan Melo M8 at NYC’s Pier 54 on the Hudson River on Friday evening. Nike does things big. Real big. They implemented an 85-foot 3-D projector to give guests a one-of-a-kind light show on the water. The M8 NYC Flight Night was hosted by Hot 97 radio personalities Angie Martinez and DJ Enuff, plus there was appearances by Nas, Chris Paul and Maya Moore. Those lucky people in attendance not only got to see a ton of celebrities, but also a hologram show from the future. The state of the art light show projected across the harbor onto an adjacent warehouse. The event began with a Jordan Brand helicopter hovering over the harbor, followed by a diver taking the plunge into the Hudson, then hand-delivering a golden shoebox to Pier 54. Inside the golden shoebox were the Melo M8 prototype, which were formulated in NYC’s Flight Lab 159 in lower Manhattan. That's some real Hollywood production right there. For a sneaker. Wow, my Chuck Taylors don't even have a commercial let alone a laser light show.
