Whichever side you lean, this is interesting to the point of wasting your time for hours with circular arguments about sh*t you may or may not be informed enough to fully talk about.
Mitt Romney has been secretly recorded at a campaign fundraising event saying that 47 per cent of Americans are dependent on government and that 'my job is not to worry about those people'.
Referring to Obama supporters, Romney said: 'All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.
He then goes on to talk about a ton of different sh*t, all of which I'd talk about but TLDR and sh*t. But if you care about your citizenship Ish, you can view in the video series, which is something that you are allowed to do because you live in AMERICA.
After listening to a slew of these videos, something really seems to be a bit off here. Sure he is criticizing the f*ck out of people, as he says, who likely won't vote for him, but Mittens is robotic to the point where it almost seems like he's DIRECTLY talking to a bunch of undecided independent voters. Not to mention, this was obtained by what appears to be a pretty left-leaning site in the Mother Jones ("Even Evangelicals (Sorta) Like Obamacare Now" is one of the first headlines currently on the site). All in all, something's a bit fishy here.
Whatever your takeaway is, its definitely something that's sure to brew a discussion. For Mitt it will be a non-alcoholic one, but brewed nonetheless.
UPDATE: Via, Gawker
Mother Jones' David Corn has revealed that the tapes come from a fundraiser held at the estate of hedge fund manager Mark Leder in Boca Raton.
And while this particular fundraiser may not have been debaucherous, Leder is notorious for his Caligula-esque parties. From the New York Post's description of his "wild end-of-the-summer bash":
"At the Bridgehampton home that Leder rented for a whopping $500,000 a month, guests cavorted nude in a pool and performed sex acts, while scantily clad Russian women danced on platforms. Dancers at the party also twirled flaming torches to booming beats."
Something tells me (and the world) that Romney's fundraiser didn't quite get that weird. But nonetheless, a nice tidbit. Rich people, dawg.
