If you're the type of armchair critic who likes to b*tch and moan about the state of modern scripted television, I have no sympathy for you if you haven't been watching the second season of "Louie." This season's 11th episode about Louie's USO tour in Afghanistan was one of the best 40-plus minutes of television in recent memory. In my opinion, Louie C.K.'s balance between sincere, smart wit and gnarly stand-up humor smokes the hell out of the lame, shrug-worthy soap opera "surprises" Entourage continues to hurl our way. That said, Louie's season finale is set for Thursday. I can't imagine it being anything other than great. In the meantime, here's some unearthed footage from 2010 of Louie C.K.'s tribute to one of his stand-up role models, George Carlin. It's fantastic.
