I guess if you're 80-years-old you don't have much to lose by partaking in risky actions like skydiving.

Laverne is an 80-year-old grandma who thought it would be a great idea to go skydiving with her family.  The sweet old lady was excited for her action-packed jump from 10,000-feet in the sky. Well granny got more thrills than she bargained for. Laverne became unattached from the tandem parachute harness which may have been caused when she changed her mind about jumping and clung to the door and her instructor had to basically throw her out of the plane. Once Laverne slipped out of the harness her instructor quickly grasped onto the elderly woman and struggled to clutch the woman's legs. Miraculously the instructor was able to keep Laverne in the harness and deploy the parachute. This frantic scene was all captured by another instructor who attempted to help during the free fall.

Not sure if I'd want the video that documents my near-death experience to expose my jiggly, flabby back. I also don't think I'd want The Offspring to be the soundtrack to my final demise.
