As a whole, Facebook is probably a good idea. Social network, connectivity, sharing, etc. But it's also earned a pretty nasty reputation for some lousy ideas, like poking, mass event invites, etc. Serious, person-who-friended-me-in-2006: I don't want to come to your shitty band's afterparty.  

The folks at UCBComedy imagined what a focus group of Facebook fanboys might look like. No I will not send you a stupid "birthday present" over Facebook. That has to be the dumbest thing ever.
