Some have said the Internet was created to post cute cat videos. This is not one of those videos.

Chalk this up to "Only in Amsterdam." A Dutch artist, Bart Jansen, had a cat named Orville who was hit by a car. But Orville has found a second life!

... As a taxidermied flying cat, put together by his owner as an art installation and working helicopter.

Via the Daily Mail:

Jansen said the Orvillecopter is 'half cat, half machine', and part of a visual art project to pay tribute to his cat Orville.

Jansen, part of the art cooperative Generaal Pardon, said: 'After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously.'

He added that Orville will soon be 'flying with the birds' stating: 'Oh how he loved birds. He will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday. So this hopping will soon change into steady flight.'

I see a conspiracy here—the cat was named Orville, also the name of a Wright brother and one of the first men to ever take off in an airplane. Methinks Jansen may have had plans to make a Kitty-Coptor long before Orville met his untimely end. In which case, Jansen is a pretty messed-up dude.
