Dana Richardson was just out getting his kayak on off the shores of Cape Cod yesterday when sh*t got really real.
That tends to happen when a shark is chasing you.
[He] tells the Cape Cod Times he saw a shark fin following him Saturday while he was paddle boarding about 200 feet from shore in eight feet of water, and then later spotted a fin following a kayaker.
Richardson handled the situation like a boss – for a while at least.
"I didn't want to just yell, 'Shark, shark,' and scare people," said Richardson, a Cape Cod resident and longtime surfer and paddleboarder. "But when I saw the fin following the kayaker, I began yelling and waving my paddle."
He quickly rowed to shore safely and got his picture in all the papers.
I hope people around his office asked him what he did this weekend. OH, YOU KNOW, DEFIED DEATH.
