Nobody wants to see a plane crash, but nobody can take their eyes off of a plane crash. 

This Boeing 727 smashed into the Sonoran Desert in Mexico as part of Discovery Channel's ambitious documentary series called "Curiosity." The plane was loaded with crash dummies and cameras then flown into the ground with Discovery's camera crews surrounding the impact to capture all the action. The plane's fuselage was ripped in two and the damage was extensive. Discovery said that the Mexican military and police were fully aware and ready for the crash. The pilot ejected from the airliner minutes before the plane smashed into the ground. Hopefully local citizens didn't see the doomed aircraft and think it was carrying a plane-full of passengers. The episode will be shown on Discovery later this year.
