Because this is exactly what you want to be doing with your life.
According to a bunch of blogs who are probably somewhat right, 62% of Americans eat lunch at the same place they work all day. Of those 62%, an estimated 64%* spend the day wondering how the hell they ended up like this, and if the makeshift goop that is their lunch is something they're actually suppposed to view as a "reward" for garnering permanent long-term sitting in a chair all day problems.
Out of that, we have this wonderful blog. And as someone who engages in desk lunchery everyday,
you can now ignore the text where I feel the need to insert MY OPINION, and mini-rant about how NYC is so damn expensive despite my choice to live here, and that you can't even go to chipotle without being very concerned about your bank accountthis is a truly awesome idea.As the creator says, the post is not always about the food content, because "it's the sad pathetic fact that eating at your desk is DEPRESSING" that make some of these posts go above and beyond the normal call of human struggle.
Some of our favorites are below, but be sure to check out the blog for (a. awesome descriptions of the meals, and (b. at least a good 30 minutes worth of great entertainment.
