Back in 2010, facial hair extraordinaire Jimmy McMillan won over the hearts and minds of the American people with his simple assertion that "the rent is too damn high." As he notes, while some may view his campaign for NY Governor as a member of the "Rent is Too Damn High Party" as simply a stunt, he has a number of truly legitimate political aims. Namely, that the two party system often crowds out smaller more actionable agendas, and that while the cost of living has gone up, wages and jobs have not. It's a simple, catchy, and awesome plea, and Jimmy took to Reddit to explain, among other things, what'd he'd do as the new NYC mayor.
