The World’s Longest Water Slide Is So Long I Think I Could Chug A Six Pack On The Ride Down

The ‘World’s Longest Water Slide’ resides in New Jersey’s Action Park, a theme park more synonymous with catastrophic injuries than world records. At nearly 2,000 feet long (1,975) the Action Park slide was certified by Guinness World Records last week, and is now officially the World’s Longest Water Slide. It’s not open to the public just yet, but last week an anchor from NBC’s TODAY Show was the first to ride the slide and in doing so she teamed up with Guinness World Records to certify the slide as being the longest ever.

In the video above Action Park employee Maria Bitko rides down all 1,975 feet of the Action Park water slide with a GoPro on her head, and I have to admit that this slide’s so long I think I might actually get bored while riding it.

When I caught the TODAY show clip last week where they rode it for the Guinness World Record certification the woman riding the slide actually got stuck on the slide like 2 or 3 times. So it might be the longest in the world, but it’s by no means the fastest nor the most exciting, at least not from what I saw. That said, I’d ride this slide every day of my life if I could. I’m a sucker for a good waterslide. I think half the reason I love to vacation at The Atlantis Resort & Casino in The Bahamas is for the waterslides + aquariums, and not the casino. What can I say? I love me some water slide action.
