World War II took a long time. Like six years. That's a lot. Here is the entirety of the European theater condensed into seven minutes.
YouTube user EmperorTigerstar mapped where the fronts of the war were on every single day from September 1, 1939 to May 15, 1945. It's astounding to watch how far and how fast Germany took over all of Europe, but the video also shows the day-to-day monotony of war, with some fronts not moving even an inch for months.
If you don't have a full seven minutes to spare, jump to the 5:28 mark. That's D-Day and the start of America running shit.
