Bros, Wanna Learn Where We Are In Space? Watch This About The Laniakea Supercluster

Humans have a fairly good grasp on our place in the Universe. At least, we have the best grasp of any species we know.

Still, people are learning new things every day. It’s a really cool time to be alive if you think space is trill. Which I do.

A new study of 8,000 galaxies in our Universe determined that we are part of a massive supercluster of galaxies, all rotating around a single force known as the Great Attractor. (For all we know, we are still very, very dumb.) The new supercluster is named Laniakea, which is Hawaiian for ‘immeasurable heaven.’

This discovery is explained very well in this video, which is worth a watch if you like space.
