The Waffle Taco Is Dead, But Taco Bell Introduces New Biscuit Taco With Jalapeno Honey

Nearly two years ago, Taco Bell entered the fast food breakfast wars with their revolutionary Waffle Taco. The Waffle Taco had a wonderful, carbohydratey life, but all good, greasy things must come to an end. Taco Bell has killed off the Waffle Taco.

R.I.P. Waffle Taco, we hardly knew ye, mostly because we were too hungover to even remember eating ye.

However, like a fiery Phoenix rising from the burnt deep-fryer ashes of the Waffle Taco comes a new morning monstrosity, the Biscuit Taco.

Taco Bell describes their new breakfast offering as “more than just a biscuit, it’s a warm, fluffy, buttery biscuit, folded in the shape of a taco.” The biscuit can be filled with eggs, sausage, bacon, cheese or deep-fried chicken with a jalapeno honey sauce. Depending on the which Biscuit Taco you get, it will have between 370 and 470 calories, not that you’re calorie-counting if you’re eating Taco Bell.

The Biscuit Taco was tested in San Antonio, Atlanta and Los Angeles. It did well enough for a nationwide roll-out that begins this Thursday.

So are you trying the Biscuit Taco or are you still in mourning over the Waffle Taco?
