VIDEO: Guy From National Geographic’s ‘Snake Underworld’ Show Shoots Up Lethal Black Mamba Venom

I've said it in the past, I'll say it again: I'm an ophidiophobe and a huge p*ssy when it comes to anything regarding snakes. That scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where Indiana Jones falls into the snake pit? Can't watch it. Regardless, the National Geographic Channel has a show on Friday nights called "Snake Underworld with Henry Rollins." This week's episode is apparently about some snake freak who extracts and then voluntarily injects himself with lethal black mamba venom. You know, the extremely deadly snake from this scene in "Kill Bill Vol. 2." The goal is for the snake handler to build up antibodies to the snake's venom in the event of getting naturally bitten. His body reacts as you'd imagine: He breaks out in sweat like a junkie and his arm swells up as his body fights the toxins. "Black Mamba Venom: It's a hell of a drug." Whatever. If you ask me, the guy sounds psychotic and whole thing sounds like playing with fire. Watch the ridiculous clip after the jump.
