It's day four of the David Petraeus scandal, which started on Friday when the CIA Director and retired General announced he was stepping down from the position due to an extramarital affair. Shortly after, fingers were pointed at his biographer, and mistress, Paula Broadwell. The timing, right after a national election, is suspect and raises all sorts of questions about the September 11, 2012, attack on the Benghazi consulate in Libya and what sort of classified information Petraeus may have been sharing with Broadwell as pillow talk. Also, there's the whole using Gmail as a CIA Director thing, a fundamental breach of basic national security protocol.
But look: We know you don't come to BroBible to read about that stuff. Other online news organizations are doing a hell of a job with their reporting on Petraeus Gate. So I wanted to share something originally put together by Foreign Policy magazine. It's a collection of conspiracy theories flying around Twitter by people who can't spell "Petraeus." I laughed out loud at the one speculating Angeline Jolie is involved in some sort of foreign relations conspiracy with Petraeus. Hey, maybe the guy thought Salt was a documentary? Unintentional humor at its best.
