Sorry, we’re all just a little bummed out. So were many other people apparently, and Tony Hawk—who starred in the video alongside Christopher Lloyd, Terrell Owens, Schoolboy Q and others—released an apology today to the deceived. Luckily, Hawk’s built up a whole childhood of video game and action sports nostalgia, so we’ll forgive him. This time.
“So I’m sorry for misleading everyone,” he says. “And I wish as much as you do that hoverboards were real and I’m sure that one day they will be. But until then, we still need roads.”
