Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Giving Students Pot Brownies

Some teachers these days seem to be too concerned with being the “cool teacher,” and maybe not focusing on making sure that students receive the optimal knowledge and discipline from their time at high school. This Louisiana teacher got high grades attempting to be the popular teacher by handing out pot brownies to her students.

On Thursday, Camille Brennan surrendered to authorities after she was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of narcotics distribution for allegedly providing the marijuana edibles to students at Archbishop Hannan High School. The 29-year-old English teacher handed out the dank baked goods on May 1. A female student informed her parents, who then passed this news to the Catholic school’s principal. Kid could have easily blackmailed her teacher for straight A’s, poor foresight right there.

When questioned by deputies Brennan reportedly admitted to giving the teens the brownies. The teacher has since resigned. Capt. George Bonnett, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman, said that additional charges could be forthcoming. Brennan’s attorney, Tim Upton, released a statement that said he had not received any evidence that a crime was committed.

But, no banging of students. Baby steps teachers. Baby steps.
