How A Childhood Walk Down Main Street Created A Motorcycle-Building Icon

Every human pursuing a dream remembers the exact moment their eyes were opened to their path in life. The moment usually occurs in childhood, and seems insignificant in the moment, but years later a person will look back remark “that was the day everything changed.”

Motorcycle fabricator Taber Nash remembers the day clearly.

“Me and my family were down on the main street of town and you just heard this rumble,” Nash explained, “off in the distance and you don’t know what it is and I remember looking over my shoulder and just seeing these headlights. I remember being a little boy and just sitting there in awe, trying to imagine what they felt like sitting on their bikes. And I always wanted that.”

Years later, Nash took a risk and founded Nash Motorcycle Company with nothing but a vision. He and his brothers started a landscaping company and worked odd jobs to scrap together enough money to rent a garage. Today, Nash Motorcycle Company is one of the most eminent motorcycle fabricating companies in the world.

In this episode of Human from Coors Banquet, Nash explains the motivation behind his work, his attraction to cycles at an early age and how a piece of his life is reflected in every cycle he builds or restores.
