The suspect is Kip Arnold, a physical education teacher at a Los Angeles Middle School and he entered into this chase because he's currently under investigation for a lewd act with a minor -- probably just encouraged a kid to become a physical education teacher. Prior to the high speed pursuit, he had told the police he wanted to kill himself, something an innocent man usually doesn't want to do. Well, Kip must have been extra sad and depressed and suicidal when he found out his plan to die by flying down a hill at top speeds didn't pan out.
