Woman Offended By Slogan On One Of The Most Popular Party Tanks Is Everything Wrong With America

I’d say ‘sorry for partying’ but in this instance there’s nothing to apologize for, this lady who’s making headlines for being offended by ‘Suns Out, Guns Out’ party tank is everything wrong with America. In a display of just how out of touch many Americans are these days, Rita Richardson is claiming this party tank sporting one of the most popular slogans in America is actually promoting gun violence… This reminds me of the time just a few years ago when I had to ask my mom to stop signing all of my birthday cards with ‘LOL’, only to find out that she and all her old friends thought LOL meant ‘lots of love’. Upon telling her she was very, very wrong she refused to believe me and stated ‘well it just means something different to my generation’. Here’s the tank that got Rita Richardson so riled up:

The fact of the matter is that she was wrong as hell. And in this instace the fact of the matter is that just because some butthurt person sees a completely misguided and irrelevant message in the slogan on a party tank doesn’t mean anyone should give a damn what she thinks. She’s WRONG. Repeating the her sentiment that the slogan ‘Suns Out, Guns Out’ is somehow related to gun violence doesn’t it make it any less false.

WPTV reports:

Rita Richardson described her reaction to the JC Penny circular, ” I did a double take when I saw the ad for this shirt right on the front page.” The shirt that has Richardson fired up says, “suns out guns out,” a reference to muscles for a sleeveless tee-shirt. But Rita feels the shirt sends a different message.

“I just thought it was sad that a major retailers like JC Penny would want its brand associated with something that advocates, glorifies gun violence,” Richardson explained.

Richardson says she is a loyal JC Penny shopper adding, “That’s why I read their ad and look for sales, but they could just give this some more attention.”

And Richardson knows what she would like to see happen. “Well I would hope they would take it off the shelves, immediately.” But also says she understands young people use their clothing to express themselves, their values, but hopes if the store keeps the shirt, people will choose to wear something else.

This is the EXACT SAME LEVEL OF STUPIDITY you see among anti-vaxxers. They just refuse to accept the truth when it’s right in front of their faces no matter what evidence is presented. The dumbest of the dumb.

Rita Richardson was shocked to see a 4th of July sale ad for a shirt that says, "Suns Out, Guns Out." She says the ad promotes gun violence. What do you think? http://bit.ly/1HCmFJt

If I had to imagine what a lady who would refuse to accept the truth about a slogan I think that’s exactly what she’d look like in my mind. Smug as hell and looking like she thinks she knows everything in the world.

I can’t help but wonder what message she might find in this badass American tank (available on Amazon for only $24.99):
