This is just terrible and just about the most WTFlorida thing ever. For months, Rohan Dawkins has been saving $10 from every paycheck to buy the $150 version of Grand Theft Auto V. When he walked out of GameStop after buying the game, he was robbed:
On Tuesday, Dawkins walked into the GameStop on Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach and bought the game. But the 21-year-old mentally challenged man never got a chance to play it.
After Dawkins left the store, he was beaten and robbed by a Delray Beach couple.
Adele Francis Jones, 26, and Tommy Leon Davis, 27, were arrested today by Delray Beach Police after they allegedly tried to re-sell the game at a GameStop in the Boynton Beach Mall.
The pair is accused of strong-armed robbery and dealing in stolen property and were booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. A detective said a third man might be involved.
Honestly, I hope all this GTA jackassery in the Sunshine State inspired Rockstar to do the next generation of the game in Florida. Just make it a true-to-scale map of the state where you play a bunch of heroes who go around stopping some seriously f*cked up crimes. Needs to happen.
