Slut Dropping involves two basic parts: slut pick up and slut drop. The pick up is the act of offering a stranded girl, just out of the bars after a late night, a ride home in a warm car. Get her to think you're her knight, chivalrous as shit. Then, once you get to her house, you rip a U-turn and drive as far as you can in the opposite direction finally “dropping” her out of your car. After that, I assume uproarious laughter takes place inside the car.

Asshole prank? For sure. Sexist? I mean, probably. Unless dudes are slut dropping other dudes. Then that whole sexist argument is null and void.

But according to The Independent, that's not the only incredibly sexist thing taking place at colleges and universities across London. They asked their Twitter followers to sound off about Freshers week and some of the responses were just a touch FUCKED UP.

“At our [Student Union]…girls had to suck the choc off a kit kat chunky placed between a blokes [sic] legs”.

Gimme a break…OH, gimme a break…break me off a piece of that Kit Kat bar.

“I think sex acts are a big 'funny' thing at uni. My friend was asked to deep throat a hotdog for free drinks.”

Since when is bartering sexist? You want the free drink? Then you DT that all-beef frank and be glad it wasn't a butternut squash.

One woman wrote to tell us that the sexual pursuit of female freshers was nicknamed “seal-clubbing” at her university, effectively highlighting the worrying dynamic of vulnerability added by the fact that many students are experiencing their first week away from home. Pressure to take part in sexual situations and ‘make a joke’ of serious issues impacts male students too, with one particularly disturbing report we received reading:

“Flatmate quit lacrosse team when given team 'rules' stating that members don't date – that was what rape was for.”

Uhhh, no comment.

Another wrote: “men's hockey team had fancy dress party at Student Union bar. Theme was rape victims. So awful its [sic] unbelievable but its [sic] true”

Wow.
