This isn't really that scandalous, but it's too funny to not pass on: The New York Post (which is hardly a left-wing paper) is reporting that unmarried U.S. congressman Michael Grimm (from Staten Island) disappeared into a Brooklyn wine bar bathroom the weekend before the government shutdown with a plus-one. They, allegedly, got frisky. I get it. When your world—the government—is ending, you want to hold onto something close. Grimm responded to the allegations by saying, "This never happened, and I will not dignify this absurd distortion of the facts with a response."
But here's the kicker. Since everyone in the quiet, upstairs area kind of knew what was going on, onlookers timed the excursion. Grimm went 17 minutes in the handicapped stall, and that, my friends, is what led to the Post's headline.
“I think it was pretty f–ing obvious what as going on in there,’’ the source said. “They said Grimm was in there with a girl for 17 minutes. I guess they were timing him."
Naturally, Democrats in the area have seized the story for their own benefit.
But isn't 17 minutes... pretty good? Why is this being turned into a negative? Turn it around, make it your own, congressman. You get shit down better than anyone else in your chamber.
