In case you haven't heard, the FDA is poised to ban the current caffeinated incarnation of everyone's favorite "blackout in a can." It was fun while it lasted. According to Bloomberg, Four Loko will continue to be produced without the beverage's signature caffeine jolt. But, seriously now, how pointless is that? The caffeine was one-quarter of the fun (the other half was getting crunk and the final quarter is sharing debaucherous Loko stories the next day with friends). In the meantime, the folks at BuzzFeed have stirred up a recipe for brewing homemade Four Loko. Loko-fied loyalists, rejoice! Watch their instructional video after the jump.
If you're actually going to try whipping this up and you're too drunk to remember the ingredients, click here for a shopping list. The only downside is that the cost of all those ingredients is easily going to run seven to ten bucks (and that's low-balling it). Doesn't seem cost efficient for the average college-age drinker. But, who knows? Maybe homemade Four Loko become the next bathtub gin? If you're bored and you give this thing a whirl, let us know how it tastes. In the meantime, I'm sticking to Busch Light.
