An escaped prisoner is back in police custody after pulling a fire alarm at residential treatment facility.
Around 8 p.m. last night, an unnamed inmate pulled the alarm and walked out into the street with the rest of the facility. The only problem — he never went back. Cops found him about a half hour later wandering the streets not far from the treatment center.
“It’s my understanding he was originally on probation for aggravated assault and violated the terms of his probation, the judge ordered him into this treatment facility,” said Lt. Larry Crowson, Houston Police Department.
Now you’re probably wondering “why the hell didn’t he run away?” and I’ll answer with “he was probably absolutely dumbfounded that pulling a fire alarm actually worked!” He was probably walking in circles muttering “I can’t believe they fell for the oldest trick in the book!”
Today he plans on escaping with a note from his mom excusing him from prison.
