People are rude. No one really has manners anymore and politeness has gone out the door for… personal expression or something. That’s just live in 2015. But when you’re the leader of the free world in the social media and smartphone era, people are EXTRA rude. Tonight a rude protester interrupted President Obama during a speech while hosting a LGBT Pride Month reception. The President of the United States reminded him that he was in his house, drinking his booze and eating his hors d’oeuvres. POTUS then proceeded to — in the immortal worlds of Jon Taffer — SHUT IT DOWN:
“I am just fine with a few hecklers, but not when I’m up in the house… You know what I mean?”
“You know, my attitude is if you’re eating the hors d’oeuvres and drinking the booze…Anyway, where was I?”
So who was the heckler and what was all the fuss about? Via The Washington Post:
In this case, the heckler was an undocumented transgender women protesting the United States’ immigration policies. As she was being escorted out of the room, a press release was blasted to the media explaining her outburst.
Ok. POTUS has a point — You’re in his house. Maybe write your Congressman?
