On one of his first days on the job delivering pies for Uncle Pizza in Glenwood, Colorado, Anson Lemmer encountered a customer in distress. The 19-year-old sprang into action and performed CPR until emergency personnel arrived.
Then he dropped some amazing quotes in a newspaper interview. Quotes that just may be more awesome than saving an actual human life.
“I called my parents and said this has been the craziest pizza delivery ever. I left a pizza boy and came back a pizza man,” Lemmer said.
…
“I felt a couple of ribs break. He’s going to wake up with sore ribs.”
…
“They didn’t want the pizza after that, of course.”
It’s a damn shame there’s not video of these gems. Dude would go more viral than Charles Ramsey.
The article oddly doesn’t specify how the guy in the hospital is doing so I guess he could be dead. If so, I guess that takes a bit of enjoyment out of the Pizza Man narrative.
