Would You Be Pissed If Pizza Hut Referred To You As A ‘Pink Fat Lady’ On A Receipt? Because This Pink Fat Lady Was

Some people are so friggin’ sensitive it’s a wonder that they don’t spend their entire lives crying in a dark closet about how mean and unfair the world is. Take for example the woman who got pissed that a Singapore Pizza Hut referred to her as a “Pink Fat Lady”:

The customer, known on Facebook as Aili Si, bought two pizzas at the chain’s Bukit Merah outlet, in south Singapore.

She posted a picture of the receipt on Facebook, which has been liked almost 250 times.

Aili Si commented: “As a customer I definitely hope to be treated with basic respect deserved by any others. I hope to receive an apology from the staff and Pizza Hut.”

She added: “[I] just feel insulted. What’s wrong being plus size?”

Uh, lady, nowhere on that receipt did anyone say that there was something wrong with being plus sized. Sure the word “fat” carries a negative connotation, but if you think that people don’t immediately think to themselves “Oh so she’s fat” when someone describes you as plus-sized, you’re delusional. Would you have been less offended had they written “Pink Plus Sized Lady”? Probably not. Had that happened instead you’d still be complaining about how they called you fat, albeit politely.

Regardless, what’s wrong with describing someone how they are? If I got a take-out receipt that said “Resting Bitch Face” I’d be like “Wow someone got me down to a T,” or if they even went so far as to say “Flat girl w/ ugly sweater” I’d be like “Well they’re not wrong.” If you’re fat, you’re fat. Don’t go and cry about people pointing out the obvious when it’s accurate.

As for Pizza Hut’s reaction, instead of nutting the fuck up and saying “Well maybe if you didn’t buy so many of our pizzas our employees wouldn’t call you fat,” they went with the usual cop-out of:

A spokesperson said the matter was being investigated internally and requested Aili’s details in order to contact her directly.

The pizza chain also posted a public apology to the customer on Monday night, adding: “This incident goes against our corporate values and we do not condone behaviour or actions that offend people.”

LOL at Pizza Hut pointing out that they don’t approve of people being offensive. Thanks for stating the obvious guys, for a second there I was looking forward to rolling up to a Pizza Hut and getting a receipt with a big “FUCK YOU” written at the bottom.
