An 83-year-old woman is suing Apple for $1 million after she smashed face-first into glass doors at a Long Island store. If she wins, it will set an important precedent for birds, who’ve been tricked far too many times.
Evelyn Paswall, 83, claims that the glass doors at the front of Apple Stores pose a risk to the elderly.
Paswall’s attorney Derek T. Smith told the Post that,“Apple wants to be cool and modern and have the type of architecture that would appeal to the tech crowd, but on the other hand, they have to appreciate the danger that this high-tech modern architecture poses to some people.”
Paswell says she broke her nose in the collision. The store reacted by placing warning stickers on the door. I haven’t seen them, but I hope they read “if you’re not a ghost, you’ll have to open this in order to proceed.”
Yet further evidence older people and technology don’t mesh.
