The man who smashed Alexian Lien’s window after a chase down the West Side Highway will not be charged with a crime, according to the New York Post. “The DA declined to prosecute. Look at [The Post’s] front page. He’s there on the motorcycle right next to [Lien] after he got his ass kicked,” a pissed-off cop told the paper. The New York district attorney was also reluctant to press charges against Christopher Cruz, the biker who initially brake-checked Lien's Range Rover and stopped it on the highway. Only public pressure and, you know, the fucking widely seen video evidence drove the office to charge Cruz with reckless driving and endangering the welfare of a child.
The DA is currently looking for a "main guy," who also assaulted Lien. In the video, the biker is wearing a chrome helmet with the logo of a bird.
Yesterday, news broke that a man Lien ran over during his escape, Edwin Mieses, had his spine crushed by the SUV. He is in a medically induced coma, paralyzed from the waist down. This all began when the group ride, part of an annual thing called "Hollywood Stuntz" drove erratically through New York City.
