New Study That Reveals The Advantages Of Exercise On Your Sex Life Will Make You Renew Your Gym Membership

For a dude who’s dreams of playing professional sports were shattered at an early age and who has zero desire to run the 10K you invited me to on Facebook, this is the news I’ve been looking for. This is the news I needed.

A recent study by the Journal of Sexual Medicine (sounds pretty scientific to me) has indicated that men who exercise might receive huge benefits in their sex lives in a variety of areas.

The study examined the sexual function of 295 healthy men who would report their findings through a questionnaire. The experiment was the first of its kind in the sense that it included a significant number of African-American subjects, a demographic that has previously been underrepresented.

The report found that men who beasted at the gym most frequently, had the biggest advantage in the bedroom. Sounds, kind of obvious, right? The dude who is the strongest and looks the best naked is obviously going to have the advantage, while the flabby dude who is too tired to hold himself up in the missionary position and the scene looks like the picture below is unsurprisingly at a disadvantage.

But before you close the shades to your apartment and put that second stick of butter in your mouth, listen to the other benefits.

The study also found that highly active men have a greater ability to have erections and more sensitive orgasms, as well as the quality and frequency of erections.  Adriana Vidal, senior author of the study, stated the following:

“This study is the first to link the benefits of exercise in relation to improved erectile and sexual function in a racially diverse group of patients.”

So how much do you have to exercise to become the Sex God you’ve always imagined yourself to be? Well according to Science Daily:

“two hours of strenuous exercise, such as running or swimming, 3.5 hours of moderate exercise, or six hours of light exercise.”

Does walking around the gym searching for yoga pants count as ‘light exercise’?

And it’s not just men benefitting from exercise. A 2004 study indicated that women who exercise two to three times a week experience an increased sex drive, possibly due to the endorphins released during exercise and the confidence gained from a better body image.

So there it is, guys. In the past, sometimes it felt like exercise making an excuse not to go to the gym. But those days are over. Let’s be the dudes who gets longer erections, more frequently, and have such sensitive erections that Drake would write a song about them.

Join me in my crusade.
