Because scientific discovery is a naturally iterative process, of course every technological advancement will bring about better and better things.
That’s true throughout science, but nowhere is it more awesome (to me) than in space exploration. Just yesterday, NASA released this photo New Horizons took of Pluto’s biggest moon, Charon.
This is, remember, three million miles from Earth, and we flew there, and snapped this HD picture. How fucking dope is that?
Gorgeous. For fun, a reddit user compared that picture to one we took in 1978. Look how fucking much we’ve accomplished in just 40 years. How amazing is that?
NASA also shared this picture of Pluto, which is stunning.
