Remember last year when the world seemingly revolved around zombies? Well, some hacker in Montana is nostalgic for those days.

The prankster managed Monday to successfully tap into a Montana television station’s emergency alert system and send word that the zombie apocalypse was afoot.

“The bodies of the dead are rising from their graves and are attacking the living,” the emergency announcer warned. “Do not attempt to approach or apprehend these bodies, as they are considered extremely dangerous.”

The station quickly apologized for the incident but some local residents were concerned enough to call local authorities to express concern.

Thankfully this didn’t end up becoming a “War of the Worlds” situation. That would have made it a lot less funny.
