Vice has a fascinating read on the way the warring drug gangs of Mexico utilize social media to drum up populist support for their causes and along the way, unearthed a Facebook page of The Knights Templar that has selfies galore.
So the next time you make fun of someone for taking a selfie, just remember, the hardest motherfuckers on Earth are doing them as well. And they will kill you to death for making fun of them. Which is why we are not making fun of these. Only posting.
