It’s been a momentous month for gay players in professional sports. It began with NFL hopeful Michael Sam coming out and finished with Jason Collins taking the court for the Brooklyn Nets last night.
And one D.C. lobbyist wants to put a stop to all this awful, awful progress.
Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman on Monday said he is preparing legislation that would ban gay athletes from joining the National Football League (NFL).
And why would he want to do such a thing?
”We are losing our decency as a nation,” Burkman said in a statement. “Imagine your son being forced to shower with a gay man. That’s a horrifying prospect for every mom in the country. What in the world has this nation come to?”
IMAGINE. CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE IT?
It would be terrible. He would be just as clean as if he showered with a straight person and just as not sexual traumatized.
Of course, nothing will come of this, because lobbyists can’t introduce bills and no Congressman would ever publicly support something this heinous. No, this is just a friendly reminder to show how much people hate teh gayz.
And if you are wondering if this man who thinks this country is losing its decency has a penchant for prostitutes, well… he does.
