This Is What It’s Like To Be A Bike Messenger In New York City

I admire the bike messengers of New York City, mostly because I think you have to have balls of steel to ride a bike around Manhattan, even with the abundance of bike lanes from the Bloomberg era. Bike messengers who save you a cab or subway ride to get whatever it is you need to get across town is one of the little things that makes NYC the greatest city in America. The stuff they deal with on a day-to-day basis is nightmare fuel, from terrifying traffic to people opening cab doors without looking to pedestrians who just blatantly ignore the bike lanes while staring at their phones. This GoPro video documenting a day in the life is pretty fascinating.
