If someone asked you why The Matrix was such a watershed movie, you could give them dozens upon dozens of reasons. But if you had to simply show them one scene to prove it, you’d probably pick the lobby shootout.
That absolutely blew everyone away, revealing how beautiful and bold an action sequence could be. It stretched the boundaries of everything at the time, and left moviegoers agape.
