Look, we don’t want to cast dispersions on poetry as a whole. It’s a beautiful way to express complicated emotions. It’s just that James Franco’s poem about President Barack Obama struck us as uniquely disastrous.

Perhaps we’re not smart enough to understand it. Perhaps it’s not meant to be understood. Perhaps the decision to read it in Blair Witch style means something.

But perhaps you’ll be just as confused as us.
