ISIS Makes The Man Who Shot Osama Bin Laden Their ‘No. 1 Target,’ Publishes His Address Online

Rob O’Neill

Well, this doesn’t make sense to me. You would think that ISIS would want to give Robert O’Neill a gift card or something. If his (alleged) shots never take out Osama Bin Laden, there would have been no power vacuum amongst Islamic extremist group, and ISIS would never have gotten to step in and fill that void.

Basically, its entire rise was predicated on the assassination of Bin Laden. So talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Who am I, though, to tell a radical jihadist what to do? They clearly still hold a grudge against O’Neill, publishing his address in an online chatroom for supporters of the Islamic State. From the Military Times:

A British ISIS member gave instructions on how to find and kill former Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Robert O’Neill, according to the Daily Mirror.

The name and address were found in a chat monitored by the Daily Mirror, which says an unnamed British extremist used the jihadi chat room as well as social media to distribute the information. It has now been shared “dozens of times,” the Mirror says.

“I leave this info of Robert O’Neill for my brothers in America and Al Qaeda in the U.S., as a number one target to eventually hunt down and kill,” the Islamic State supporter wrote.

There was no word on how ISIS acquired the address of O’Neill, and the Pentagon (who is still none-to-pleased with him) said they would not open an investigation into a breach of his privacy, as he is longer an active service member.

Cold. As of now, there is nothing on whether the Department of Homeland Security is monitoring the threat.
