In America, you can believe in whatever God you want. A small sect of people have founded a religion worshiping Google.
What is their reason for this? Well, read their own (supposedly non-schizophrenic) words.
We at the Church of Google believe the search engine Google is the closest humankind has ever come to directly experiencing an actual God (as typically defined). We believe there is much more evidence in favour of Google's divinity than there is for the divinity of other more traditional gods.
Despite the glaring omission that Google was man-made, they make some compelling points in the proof section. Google is omnipresent, because with smartphones, you are always carrying it with you. Google has the largest repository of knowledge in the world and benevolently shares it with mankind. Documents live on Google's Cloud after you die, which is the closest thing to a real afterlife. Google is immortal, since it is hosted over many, many servers. And much like Christ's divinity, people are extremely divided over the utility of Google Plus.
What say you, Bros? Jesus or Google? Muhammad or Chrome? Yahweh or a reliable maps app?
