An Australian reality-TV show called “Go Back to Where You Came From” is known for sending its contestants on dangerous journeys in order to make a statement against Australia’s harsh immigration policies.
This time the show sent contestants to Syria to spend a night in a camp with Kurdish militants and run from ISIS gunfire to learn what it’s like to be a Syrian refugee.
As you can see, the contestants had to run around wearing bulletproof vests while gunfire from ISIS fighters can be heard in the background.
“I started realizing maybe we were in something really serious” one contestant told The Sydney Morning Herald. Well, no fucking shit.
Even if you agree with the producer’s point of view about immigratio you have to question their judgment in dropping people into Syria’s hell hole just to get their point across.
