A bar called Scruffy Duffies in Plano, Texas is in some boiling water after they wrote ‘I Like My Beer Like I Like My Violence: Domestic’ on a chalkboard in the establishment. The joke was also apparently written by a female employee, but a female patron found it offensive enough to post about it on social media.

Scruffy Duffies has been swift to react, already firing the bar’s general manage and they have since apologized for the joke on Facebook.

It has come to our attention that one of our female employees wrote something offensive without owner’s approval. Domestic violence is something our family unfortunately has overcome in the past, therefore this subject is one we don’t take lightly. We are currently investigating the situation and proper actions will be taken immediately. We thank you for your patience and again want to ensure this is not our stance.

This isn’t the 60s, folks. Your witty domestic violence jokes have no place in this America.
