Only a fool would psychoanalyze Kenny Powers. After abandoning his Season 1 love interest, April Buchanon, at a roadside gas station, Powers bee-lines to Mexico at the start of Season 2 to re-kindle the smoldering ashes of a once-brilliant baseball career. While there, Powers of course also seeks to satisfy his lionhearted libido with a South-of-the-Border booty call. His object of desire is a Mexican lounge singer played by actress Ava de la Reguera. If you were born in Mexico and/or sat through "Nacho Libre" or "Cop Out," you're probably already familiar with the sultry de la Reguera. In July's issue of Esquire, writer Peter Martin claimed "de la Reguera is the opposite of Cinco de Mayo: huge in Mexico."
