Usually, late night TV stand-up is the domain of up-and-coming comedians. Letterman and Conan and Leno booked acts you’d never heard of, in an attempt to give them a big career boost. And Seinfeld did not disappoint, although he did open with a little “What’s the deal with these cell phones?” schtick.
