After allowing a leadoff double to Derek Jeter last night, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright said he grooved a few pitches because the retiring legend deserved it. It was a dumb thing to say, whether he meant it or not.
He later clarified his comments in an interview with Fox’s Erin Andrews.
OK. Awkward interview, right? Especially that dismissive “social media” comment at the end by Andrews. Hardly seemed necessary or connected to the topic at all.
Well, no one was more upset about it than The Dennis and Callahan Morning Show.
Check out the blistering hot takes — the hottest delivered by Kirk Minihane — on display during this morning’s program.
Here’s what he said in print form:
We appreciate you clearing that up. “Don’t you love social media?” No, I don’t love social media. I hate her! what a gutless bitch! Go away. Drop dead. I mean, seriously what the hell is wrong with her? First of all, follow-up. Second of all, the guy admitted he did it. He admit he told reporters he threw a couple of pipe bombs. How is that social media’s fault? I hate her. Don’t you love social media? Yeah…social media is — shut up. shut up. i’m sure she’s a nice person, but she’s…she’s probably a bitch. I hate her.
Yeah, that’s definitely going to get people’s attention. Repeatedly calling a woman a bitch and telling her to drop dead will do that.
The only sane thing in this whole diatribe was the dislike for the Probiotics commercials. Those truly are terrible. Outside of that, totally uncalled for.
