Detroit police did a hell of a job yesterday scaring the living sh*t out of people who just wanted to enjoy a playoff baseball game. To drum up support for Proposal 2 on Michigan ballots, 400 off-duty cops passed out fliers to Tigers fans advising them to “enter Detroit at your own risk.”
Subtle, right?
Despite the creative political tactics, it looks like people were unaffected. Their reactions ranged from a sarcastic “oh, Detroit is dangerous?” to “get out of my way, I’m trying to watch Miguel Cabrera bat.”
