We'll be back sometime on Monday morning with a more detailed look at the winners and losers of the Super Bowl commercial bonanza. In the meantime, here's Eminem's Chrysler 200 commercial. It will make you want to punch terrorists and drive from Dallas to Detroit in an American car as soon as humanly possible. Compared to the Xoom tablet, Kia Optima, and usual Danica Patrick fluff, the rapper's two-minute long plug for the Motor City and an all American automaker sent a cold shiver down my spine. Goosebumps. As soon as the commercial ended I received a text from AG, my helmsman/editor-in-chief, who testified to a strikingly similar reaction. Again, just... wow. Pretty sure that's exactly how Wieden-Kennedy, the ad agency behind the spot, wanted us to feel (props, Madison Avenue) with this diamond in the rough. According to MissInfo, the Chrysler 200 commercial was directed by Samuel Bayer, the legendary music video director who started his career with Nirvana's"Smells Like Teen Spirit." Hands down one of the most badass and heart-felt Super Bowl commercials of the year. Take it for a spin after the jump.
